Midas Promotions was founded by Michael Hosking in Bahrain in 1978.
The company has grown to become one of the leading international events companies in Asia and the Middle East, with over 40 years of experience promoting international concerts, producing world class corporate events and promoting acts such as Michael Jackson (1996), Taylor Swift (2011), Justin Bieber (2011), Sir Elton John (2012) to Kylie Minogue, Westlife, Maroon 5, Jessie J and Avril Lavigne. Corporate events have included working with YouTube Fan Fest (YTFF) as well as the Singapore Rugby Sevens.
In 2007, Midas Promotions launched SINGfest, at the time Singapore’s premier music festival, with shows in 2008 and 2010, which featured some of the biggest international acts from diverse genres, including Jason Mraz, Alicia Keys, Katy Perry, Orianthi, Kanye West, Smashing Pumpkins and 30 Seconds to Mars.
Midas Promotions continues to expand its business in territories it has established and is in an enviable position in the industry promoting the likes of Robbie Williams, Take That, Gypsy Kings, Rod Stewart, A7X, Christina Perri, Joe Bonamassa, Ronan Keating, Diana Krall, David Guetta, Russel Peters, Swedish House Mafia, Norah Jones, OneRepublic (2013), Pentatonix, Shane Filan (2014) to The Script (2015). There are many more memorable acts which can be viewed on the Midas Promotions website.
More recently many other artists have been added to the list including Charlie Puth (2016) and Selena Gomez (2016). The fourth show with The Script (2018) and Sam Smith (2018).
Post covid Midas Promotions has promoted The Script (2022), Simple Plan (2023), Matt Maltese (2023), FUR (2023), David Foster & Friends (2023) , Lukas Graham (2023) and a1 (2023).
Midas Promotions recently completed two shows with Westlife in Ho Chi Minh City after an absence of nearly 10 years.
Midas Promotions has successfully worked with Michael Learns To Rock (MLTR) over many years with multiple shows throughout the region, including organising the more recent shows in 2022 across a multi-city tour throughout Asia and India – having audiences exceeding 100k at a single concert!
The company also promotes theatre-based productions and consults on all aspects of the live international entertainment market, offering its expertise in talent procurement, marketing and promotion strategies with local production services.
